Location: Almelo
Hours: 32–38 hours per week | MAGIC Bodyfashion
Are you a Finance Manager who enjoys being closely involved in day-to-day operations while also contributing at a strategic level? Someone who gets energy from creating structure, improving processes and advising — but who is also willing to roll up their sleeves when needed? Then we are looking for you as our Finance Manager.
What will you do?
MAGIC Bodyfashion is part of the HVEG Fashion Group, an international fashion group that connects and strengthens brands. Within this dynamic environment, you will play a key role in steering the financial performance of MAGIC and further professionalising our finance organisation.
As Finance Manager, you are ultimately responsible for all financial processes within MAGIC Bodyfashion. You report directly to the Managing Director and are a member of the management team. You work closely with the finance team, which currently consists of one financial administrator. This is a clearly hands-on role: you are able and willing to take on operational tasks yourself, such as accounts receivable and accounts payable management, when the situation requires it.
You analyse results at cost, customer and business level and translate these insights into concrete actions and improvements. With your financial insights, you advise the management team on financial strategy, KPIs, performance and growth opportunities. In addition, you continuously focus on professionalisation by optimising and safeguarding financial processes and ensuring these are properly documented, including clear process descriptions where necessary.
As Finance Manager, you also play an important role in working with and improving our financial systems, including Business Central / Navision, enabling the organisation to operate more efficiently and reliably.
In addition, your responsibilities include:
• Preparing monthly reports, forecasts and year-to-date analyses, including management information and explanations of variances;
• Budgeting and forecasting: preparing, managing and monitoring budgets and forecasts, and proactively advising the management team;
• Group reporting to the HVEG Group: delivering reports, analyses and supporting documentation in line with planning and guidelines;
• Ensuring compliance and internal controls by maintaining accurate processes, identifying risks in a timely manner and supporting smooth audits and reviews;
• Tax-related activities, including VAT and ICP filings (NL/DE/GB/CH and EU OSS scheme) and coordination with external parties where required;
• Financial administration of an international, inventory-driven organisation, including inventory movements, margin analyses, seasonal peaks and multiple sales channels;
• Managing multiple revenue streams and sales channels (B2B and B2C, marketplaces, consignment) and ensuring invoicing, payments and financial processing are properly set up;
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a sparring partner for management, colleagues, HVEG and external accountants and tax advisors.
What do we offer?
• Salary up to €6,000 gross per month based on 38 hours, depending on knowledge and experience;
• Bonus scheme;
• Employment contract for 32 to 38 hours per week;
• 25 vacation days plus 3 additional MAGIC days (based on full-time employment);
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre;
• Pension scheme;
• 30% employee discount on our brands;
• An informal yet professional working environment with short lines of communication and engaged colleagues.
What do you bring?
• Bachelor’s or Master’s level of working and thinking (Finance, Business Economics, Accounting or similar);
• Several years of experience in a broad finance role (e.g. Finance Manager or Financial Controller);
• Strong both operationally and strategically;
• Experience with ERP systems; Business Central / Navision is a plus;
• Accurate, proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to set priorities;
• Strong communication skills and ease in working with management, colleagues and external parties;
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English.
